My 5 year old has MAE as well. His first seizure was Feb. 4. It was 3 days before he was 2 1/2, I had nightmares when my younger child neared that age. We've yet to get seizure control, he's been on trileptal, topomax. keppra, depakote, ethosuximide, lamictal, and back to keppra. He has serious developmental delays. We've been told that all hope of him outgrowing this is now gone. At the worst point he was averaging 20 drops a day, hard ones that gave him black eyes and bloody noses. He's currently in his second cast on his arm. He's had stitches, chipped teeth, everything. The doctor said he's a little old to start the ketogenic diet and we may try the VNS. Have you heard of anyone who has had this for MAE, and was it successful?

because of these situations I find myself unable to play online games on a regular basis unless I play competitively anymore, the incompetence of the world of public internet online gaming just baffles me, but once you go into competitive play, the coordination and teamwork, you just can't go back!

Rather ridiculous, isn't it? The man is barely qualified to oversee a bake sale, and he's given a Nobel Prize.
